BV(DU)- BVIMR, New Delhi has organised a Seminar on "New Criminal Laws" on September 30, 2024, with the guidance & support of the Hon'ble Director, Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal. Prof. Dr. Anuraagdeep from the Faculty of Law at the University of Delhi was invited as a guest. Dr. Anuraagdeep, a renowned speaker, stated that the primary purpose of creating any criminal law is to punish the guilty & bring justice to the injured party through legal procedures. Criminal law can be defined as the corpus of laws that deal with criminal wrongs such as stealing, murder, sexual abuse, threatening, and so on, and it is also responsible for conducting trials for convicted criminals. He went on to discuss in detail the new laws & numerous changes that reflect the changing socioeconomic factors that are occurring in modern society. Students, faculty members & other attendees benefited significantly from this seminar. Head of the Department- Dr. Reena Gupta facilitated the seminar. The “Free Legal Aid” Camp / workshop was aimed at raising awareness about fundamental legal rights of the participants & providing them access to free legal consultation. The camp sought to simplify complex legal procedures, helping students and community members better understand how the judicial system works. The workshop emphasized that every citizen has an inherent right to access justice & legal resources, regardless of their gender, socio-economic background. Head of the Department- Dr. Reena Gupta fascinated & directed the Camp. Adv. Pawan Kumar, who has expertise & experience of handling with RTI complaints, was called to the session. It aimed to educate students about the RTI Act, empowering them to seek transparency and accountability from public authorities. The session included detailed presentations on the application process, the significance of RTI in promoting good governance, and real-life case studies demonstrating its impact. Emplacement of "The Constitution of India" has been carried out by Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal in the presence of HOD of all Departments, Dr. Manjusha and one NGO called NSM "Nari Shakti Morcha founded by Ms. Jhanvi Satpal Babbar, Librarian -Dr. Aparna Marwah, staff of Library. Copy of the original Constitution of India from the Parliament of India was brought with great efforts for the same. Faculty Coordinator Dr. Manjusha coordinated the whole event.
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed To Be University) New Law College, Pune Post Graduate Department, on 4th and 5th October 2024, organised “MANTHAN” 2nd Intra College Multi-linguistic Client Counselling Competition. In this competition subject experts and practising lawyers played role of clients and student participants played the role of lawyers who counselled them on various issues. More than 50 students of the post graduate studies of the college participated in this competition. The participants had the option to choose the language of their choice from three languages Marathi, Hindi and English. The whole competition ran on the mythological concept of Samudra Manthan, viz. churning of the ocean fir Amrit, likewise churning of thoughts for the “Amrit wisdom”. The aim of competition was to get the best counsellor akin to ShriKrishna. ShriKrishna was the first counsellor who guided Arjun in a family dispute and the entire account of his guidance to Arjun turned out to be the Shrimad Bhagwat Gita.
Cyber Security Awareness Month is an internationally recognized campaign held every October to inform the public of the importance of cyber security. To commemorate Cyber Security Awareness Month 2024, BV(DU) New Law College Pune took the initiative to raise awareness among students about cybersecurity through its Centre for Cyber Law, Policy and Regulation (CCLPR). The theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2024 is "Secure Our World". Informative posters were posted in the college cyber cell, highlighting common cyber threats such as phishing scams, malware attacks, and provided valuable tips on how students can protect themselves online, including using strong passwords, being cautious of suspicious emails, and avoiding clicking on unfamiliar links. By promoting cyber security awareness, CCLPR aims to empower students to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of Dr Ujwala Bendale, Dean and Principal, New Law College Pune, Dr Jyoti Dharm, Vice Principal and Dr Vidya Dhere, IQAC Coordinator.
BV(DU) New Law College Pune Organised Model United Nation (MUN) on 19th to 20th of September 2024, with a motto to enhance the research, presentation and argumentative skill of the student with respect to the International scenario. This conference was not just an exercise in public speaking or diplomacy; it was an opportunity to deepen the understanding of global affairs and develop the skills. The MUN competition brought together a diverse group of delegates creating a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment for discourse on global issues. It spanned for 2 days and included 4 committees.The competition witnessed active participation and enthusiastic engagement from all delegates. The success of this competition would not have been possible without the support and guidance of our esteemed Dean and I/C Principal Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Vice Principal Dr. Jyoti Dharm and IQAC coordinator Dr. Vidya Dhere.

Teachers Day was celebrated with zeal together by all three institutes: BVIMR, BVCOE and BVICAM of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational Campus, New Delhi, the day to celebrate and appreciate to our Gurus, Faculty, Mentors and Facilitators. Celebration started with lighting the lamps by the Hon’ble all heads of the institutions. After the "Saraswati Vandana" programme began. All three institution heads, Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal (BVIMR), Prof. M. N. Hoda, (BVCAM) & Principal Dr. Dharmender Saini (BVCOE) gave thought-provoking & encouraging addresses to the other teachers. On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Visarjan on 17th September, 2024 Youth Red Cross Wing of BV(DU) New Law College and Indian Red Cross Society, Pune played a pivotal role in community service initiative. 25 enthusiastic students, guided by YRC Counsellors Dr. Rohit Surawase and Ms. Sneha Dhillon, actively participated in making a difference. They offered water to the thirsty, provided first aid to those in need, and raised funds to bolster the Red Cross Society's mission. The volunteers supported the community by setting up a vital help desk at the Common Wealth Building on Laxmi Road.

This Campaign was launched on the occasion of “World Environment Day” for a greener & sustainable environment. As a part of this campaign efforts are being made to ensure that 80 crore saplings are planted across the country by September, 2024 and 140 crores by March 2025. The event was organised on 17th September 2024 in nearby society, where more than 50 plants were planted and distributed. The Moot Court Society of BV (DU) New Law College, Pune under the guidance of Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean and I/c Principal and Ms. Priyanka Unde, Faculty Co-ordinator, organized 3rd Novices' Intra Trial Advocacy Competition 2024 on 30 and 31 Aug. 2024. The trial problem was based on the criminal laws revolving around complexities of Live-in Relationships, Abuse, Rape and Attempt to murder. The competition was open for the students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year B.A.LL.B. and B.B.A.LL.B. and 2nd Year LL.B. The event started from 29th Aug 2024 with the commencement of Researchers Test. Further, 30th Aug 2024 marked the beginning of Oral Rounds of the competition wherein there were three rounds: Preliminary Round, Semi-Final Round and the Final Round. The preliminary rounds were held with a total of 85 Participating teams. The event further continued on 31st Aug 2024 with the commencement of the Semi Final Rounds and the Final Round. The following event was blessed with the presence of Dr. Swapnil Bengali, Adv. Aman Vijay Dutta and Dr. Jyoti Dharm as the Judges of Final Rounds. The event was then concluded with the Valedictory Ceremony wherein the achievers were bestowed with the Awards of Honour for their commendable participation and performance.

The event was organized by the Research and Development Cell's IPR, Legal, and Ethical Matters Committee in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Education Hub of New Law College, Pune.
The lecture series featured renowned experts who delivered insightful sessions on various aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The first day focused on the fundamentals of IPR, presented by Prof. Jyoti Rattan, who discussed the importance of intellectual property as a key asset in the 21st century. On the second day, Adv. Alaqshendra Singh explored copyright laws and current trends, providing a comprehensive overview of the evolution and complexities of copyright protection.

Pune, 23rd August 2024 BV(DU) was honored to welcome esteemed delegates from Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University, Russia, for a significant visit focused on strengthening international collaboration. The discussions held were centered on the establishment of a state-of-the-art Innovation Lab and Centers of Excellence in Computer Science and Health Sciences, student and faculty exchange programs, and joint contributions to research and publication. In a move that underscores the strong ties between the institutions, the visit also explored a telemedicine project in collaboration with state university hospitals in the region. This initiative aims to bridge the healthcare gap through technology, enabling remote consultations and medical support for patients. During the visit, the delegates emphasized their commitment to this partnership by confirming that President Vladimir Putin personally visits Novgorod State University annually to monitor the utilization of funds and developments.

The session was conducted on 21st August 2024 through a question-answer interaction where students asked questions on cyber law to the resource person, lawyer Adv Vaibhav Salunkhe, and received his expert guidance. Adv Salunkhe discussed common cybercrimes such as scams, data misuse and other recent developments. He also addressed the reporting framework for cyber crimes. The documentary on anti-ragging was shown to the students to create awareness and to instigate a discussion on the subject of anti ragging. The documentary initiated discussion amongst the students regarding the consequences of anti ragging. The Main purpose behind this event was to sensitizing the students.
BV(DU) New Law College Pune celebrates Anti-ragging week from 12th August to 18th Agust. Following activities were arranged by the institute to create awareness among students: 1. Orientation program on Anti- ragging: The college had organised an anti-ragging induction session for the fresh batch. The session aimed to create awareness about the menace of ragging, its legal implications, and the steps to prevent and address such incidents. The session commenced with a warm welcome address by Garv Jagyasi, a second-year LLB student, who introduced the esteemed guest speaker, Adv. Pushkar Patil. Adv. Pushkar Patil, a renowned legal practitioner with criminal, cyber, and family law expertise, was introduced to the audience. His impressive academic qualifications and professional achievements were highlighted, establishing his credibility as a subject matter expert. duly signed by themselves and their parents or guardians at admission. This affidavit is a deterrent, as it clearly outlines the legal consequences of indulging in ragging. Student volunteers from NSS, along with first-year students, participated in the event under the guidance of Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean In-Charge Principal, Dr. Jyoti Dharm, Vice Principal, and Dr. Vidya Dhere, IQAC Coordinator, alongside other faculty members, together, they paid tribute to the victims by observing two minutes of silence and pledged to promote unity and peace among all citizens. The NSS volunteers also displayed the documentary highlighting the hardships faced by the victims of partition. Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean In-Charge Principal, addressed the students highlighting the need to stay united.
The faculty members, NSS volunteers, and the students of BV (DU) New Law College Pune took oath to stand united and to sink the differences like religion cast etc and cherish the principles like unity in diversity, equality, brotherhood.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Institute of Management & Research (BVIMR) successfully organised a "Free full-body health check-up & Free Consultation by Doctor" on May 29th and 30th 2024, under the guidance of Hon'ble Director Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal, with the goal of providing an opportunity to assess an individual's overall health status, identify potential risk factors, and improving workplace productivity. It promoted a culture of health & well-being across the organisation, leading to increased trust and loyalty. Staff appreciated the proactive approach to their health, safety, and well-being. Mr. Nitin Mane, an Administrative Officer, co-ordinated the event.
