The Erasmus+ SPIRIT Project (Sport and Physical education as a vehicle for Inclusion and Recognition in India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka) organised SPIRIT International Event was held during 11-15 September 2023 at the University of Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal. The activity with the theme "Inspiring Inclusion in Sports: Success Stories, Practical Skills, and Management Strategies" was attended by Prof Dr. Kirti Mahajan as the LEAR & Project Head along with three BVDU students namely, Gayatri Muzumdar (School of Physiotherapy, Pune), Kushagrah Sahani (School of Physiotherapy, Sangli) and Yug Vatyani (IMED, Pune)
Other interesting topics were also presented such as "Gender inclusion through sports", "Organization and management of various sports events", and "traditional sports and regional games". All participants participated in Korfball (such as basketball) with male and female players in one team, as well as learning and trying Canoe in Setubal. All students were given the opportunity to present their impressions and messages during the SPIRIT activity in Lisbon in the ‘Student premium time' event. This is a special activity for students to express their understanding of the SPIRIT project, as well as the benefits obtained from this activity, so it is hoped that in the future students can bring their knowledge and experience to be disseminated to students and other young generations to do and develop sports, especially to be healthy and avoid non-communicable diseases (NCDs), she concluded.
This activity will be extended through various activities in each partner university in 3 Asian countries, it is hoped that the implementation of sports and physical activities will continue to grow, through inclusion in various circles of society.
Bharati Vidyapeeth (DU) Institute of Management & Research (BVIMR)- Under the Guidance & motivation of Honble Director Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal, ‘Swaang’- the dramatic society, took the opportunity to perform in ‘Jhajjar’ to deliver a compelling performance centered around the Swachhta Abhiyan (Cleanliness Campaign) on September 16, 2023. ‘Swaang’, renowned for its thought-provoking theatrical productions, presented a captivating play that brought to life the essence of the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’. Through their powerful storytelling and impeccable acting, ‘Swaang’ depicted the challenges and triumphs of individuals working tirelessly to promote cleanliness and hygiene in their communities. The audience was deeply moved by the performance, which served as a poignant reminder of the importance of actively participating in the ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ and contributing to a cleaner and healthier India. Swaang's remarkable theatrical presentation left an indelible mark, inspiring those in attendance to embrace the principles of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. Dr. Seema Chaudhary was the coordinator for this activity.

The NSS Unit of New Law College, Pune, organized a skit as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada initiative. The skit revolved around the theme of how cleanliness significantly impacts a person's daily life. It was performed in the local Marathi language and took place in the Kalewadi slums in Kothrud, Pune. The NSS volunteers, with their exceptional talent and artistic skills, delivered a highly effective performance.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, New Law College Pune, under the Gender Sensitization Cell organized a seminar on Gender Diversity and Inclusivity: Special Reference to LGBTQIA+ on September 4, 2023. The seminar was an interactive and Insightful session created and commenced by Mr. Shyam (Samuel) Konnur, Founder Mist Foundation. He has been working in the field for the past 15 years. Throughout the event Law students, irrespective of their classes, asked questions, and shared some of their thoughts which were answered by Mr. Shyam Konnur. This event was organized under the support of Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean & I/C Principal, Dr. Jyoti Dharm, Vice Principal and was an initiative taken by Dr. Rajlakshmi Wagh, Faculty Incharge and Divya Saxena, Faculty Coordinator, Gender sensitivity cell. Mr. Shyam primarily dealt with the difference between Sex, Gender and Sexuality of a person and focused on the fact that one does not need to know everything about the gender or sexuality of a person, they just need to accept them and respect them for who they are. He pointed out that treating every human equally irrespective of their sexuality or gender is a way to the Perfect world. Further Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean & I/C Principal, New Law College discussed points like how the work of a lawyer is no more limited to litigation and corporate jobs and the role of every law student in making a more inclusive society through their research. She further motivated students to think critically and write research papers and discussed how New Law College, Pune will be coming up with more sessions in future where students can indulge in more insightful discussions about Gender Diversity and Inclusivity
BV(DU) New Law College Pune Environment Cell organized a visit to Bombay High Court Mumbai and Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority office Mumbai (MWRRA) on 29th August under the guidance of Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean and I/C, Principal. The primary objective of our visit was to gain practical insights into the court's operations, understand courtroom proceedings, and observe the judicial system in action and how Water Resources Regulatory Authority regulate the water resources within the State of Maharashtra, facilitate and ensure judicious, equitable and sustainable management, allocate and utilise water resources. The session was held on August 28, 2023 where the students got the opportunity to get an overview of alternative mode of settlement of disputes without getting involved in the time consuming process of litigation. On August 8, 2023, a valedictory session was conducted. The valedictory session featured Dr. Adish Aggarwala, President of the International Council of Jurists (London), Chairman of the All India Bar Association, and President of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Mr. Umesh Babu Chaurasia Advocate of Supreme Court and Ms. Harpreet Kaur Mishra Advocate of Supreme Court, also accompanied the chief guest. HoD of the Law Department, gave the opening remarks. Dr. Adish Aggarwala emphasized the need for personality development for students entering the realm of law practice. He detailed several prospects for law graduates. The MBA 2023-25 orientation program, held from July 10th, 2023, to July 29th, 2023, offered an enriching and unforgettable learning experience to MBA 2023-35 students. Guided by esteemed faculty and experts like Dr. Yamini Agarwal, Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Srivastav, and Dr. Neetu Jain, students gripped valuable insights, which will be instrumental in paving the way for a successful academic journey.
Likewise, Prof. Praveen Gupta, the distinguished Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi, emphasized the significance of individual career paths and success achieved at different life stages, drawing inspiration from cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni.
The mesmerizing dance performance by Ms. Alaknanda Dasguta Bose, renowned Kathak Dancer & Art Motivator State Icon for Election Commission New Delhi, inspired the students to pursue their passions and explore global opportunities.
Holistic well-being was addressed through invigorating yoga sessions by Mr. Balram, a professional Yoga practitioner, and a thought-provoking speech on millets' benefits for health by Dr. Taranjeet Kaur, the Head of the German Nutrition program - Metabolic Balance for India.
Col. (Dr.) Atul Kumar offered valuable insights on leadership attributes, guiding students to become potent leaders. Interactive sessions on Universal Human Values underlined the importance of meditation. Further, ASI Manish Kumar Madhukar, HC Reena Sahrawat, and CT Neha Bhagat from the Delhi Police offered self-defense training to female students.
Ms. Anjali G Sharma encouraged students to be changemakers, while Mr. Sharad Kohli motivated young minds to explore the entrepreneurial sphere. Sessions on public speaking by Lt. Col. Vinita Dalal and Lt. Col. Himanshi Singh imparted valuable life skills to students.
In addition, a student excursion was organized to significant places like Lodhi Art District, Dilli Haat, India Gate, Pacific Mall and Tagore Garden to enhance the cultural experiences of students. Then, during the last week, Foundation course classes helped non-commerce students align with their commerce background peers.
Further, Expert from Pearson’s Publishing Team facilitated access to e-books through the e-library, guiding students with their Pearson portal IDs. Mr. Rahul Khanna's session on Leadership through Theatre boosted the self-confidence of students. On the contrary, the session on Prowess IQ, delivered by Mr. Pratima Dua, aided students in preparing for projects and placements.
Wholly, contributions from Mr. Aditya Jain, Mrs. Rupal Rahul Singh, Mr. Mukesh Madan, and Mr. Jaideep Bajaj enriched the sessions. Dr. Neetu Jain concluded with a valedictory session, where students shared their learnings. Dr. Jain ended this orientation program by lending her heartfelt thanks to all the speakers for their contribution to this life-changing orientation program.

Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam on 29th July 2023 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in Delhi. It coincides with the 3rd Anniversary of National Education Policy 2020. Guided by the vision of the Prime Minister, NEP 2020 was launched with a view to groom the youth and prepare them for leading the country in Amrit Kaal. BV(DU) BVIMR Dept of Law : Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for Research Mentoring was organised in a workshop mode on July 18, 2023, at the initiative & inspiration of the Hon'ble Director, Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal. Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Gupta, Professor & Research Director of National Law University, Delhi, was invited as a special guest speaker. The Hon'ble Director greeted the Guest and offered the best wishes for the program. Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Gupta, at the outset, provided an informative session on how to write a research proposal in order to obtain funding from awarding bodies. She went into great length on research methodology, which illustrates the data gathering and analytic procedures employed in your research. The methodology chapter, which is an important aspect of the research proposal, describes what you did and how you did it, helping readers to understand. She advised that some items be mentioned in the proposal, for example, the sort of study you performed, How you gathered and processed your data, any research tools or materials you utilised, Why you picked these strategies, how you eliminated or avoided research biases She also educated on sampling procedures and approaches. In the last, Dr. Gupta provided valuable feedback to present faculty members on the research proposals discussed. She reviewed the proposals & supervised the faculty members one on one. This FDP was quite engaging, as faculty members learned about the requirements for writing a strong acceptable research proposal. Dr. Jain provided valuable feedback to present faculty members on the research proposals discussed. He reviewed the proposals & supervised the faculty members one on one. This FDP helped faculty members to receive research mentorship to assist them with many areas of research proposal writing and key skills; they learned about common pitfalls in proposal writing and how to prevent them. BV (DU) BVIMR - On July 1, 2023, the BVIMR Social & Eco Club organised an enriching tour to the Sanjay Gandhi Animal Care Centre for its committed volunteers, with the supervision and motivation of our Hon. Director. This centre, located in Delhi, is one of India's oldest and largest animal shelters, giving unwavering protection and care to animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, and cows, as well as birds, rabbits, and even camels. Upon arrival, the club members jumped right into their allocated responsibilities, splitting their time between the cow and dog shelters. They gently cared for the animals, ensuring they had access to nourishing fodder and paying special attention to the paralysed canines that required special treatment. The club also showed its passionate support by contributing necessary supplies including as food, eggs, bedsheets, and towels, which would definitely help these cherished critters. The volunteers were extremely moved by the experience of being surrounded by these innocent beings, displaying the powerful impact of delivering pure and unconditional love. In return, they discovered a great sense of fulfilment and an indescribable, enduring impression etched within their hearts. Dr. Seema Chowdhary was Co-ordinator.
BV (DU) BVIMR, Under the mentorship and support of the Hon'ble Director, the BVIMR Social and Eco Club organised an "orphanage visit" to "Anchal Nyas Ashram" at Zindal Nagar Gaziabad on June 17, 2023, enchanting the minds and hearts of its caring volunteers. The ashram's huge campus, complete with schools, playgrounds, an auditorium, and dorms, provided a caring atmosphere for the youngsters. During the tour, the volunteers got the opportunity to interact with the ashram's kind head & staff, which helped the youngsters to get social insights. They learned from the interaction the vision of the head. He aspired to transform each child into a beacon of opportunity, emphasizing the cultivation of job-givers rather than mere job-seekers. The volunteers connected with the youngsters warmly. The volunteers connected with the youngsters enthusiastically through board games, tree plantings, and engaging outdoor activities. We also showed our love & support by providing books, toys, and board games to the youngsters, ensuring that every moment was filled with joy and laughter. It was a memorable day, one that will live on in the hearts of both volunteers and children, as partnerships were built and spirits were raised. The co-ordinator was Dr. Seema Choudhary.
BV(DU) Institute of Management and Research (BVIMR) : A Campus Faculty Retreat Programme was planned for June 16, 2023. The Hon'ble Director addressed the audience and shared words of wisdom. She underlined the necessity and value of academic research in her speeches. Research can help you underpin professional learning of knowledge, skills, and understanding, connect you with sources of information and networks of professional support, and clarify purposes, processes, and priorities when introducing change to the curriculum, and pedagogy, allowing you to teach and lead more strategically and effectively develop your Institute, influence, self-efficacy, and voice within the profession. She was actively involved in the whole program. The program was created to provide a break from the demanding work schedules of both Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. A talent show was also part of the event. The event was organized by Ms. Shagoofa Tilat, Ms. Vijayta Kaushik, and Ms. Roshee Vaid.
BV(DU) Institute of Management & Research (BVIMR) celebrated International Yoga Day (June 21, 2023). Staff had gathered on the institute's large porch. Hon'ble Director Prof. Dr. Yamini Agarwal addressed the gathering before the Yoga session, saying, "A glad heart & a pleasant state of mind do not emerge by accident; they require work, desire, and practice." Yoga teaches us how to create enjoyment in our lives by living in harmony with nature, cultivating inner peace, practicing detachment, & showing compassion to others. Yoga has been practiced since ancient times. Our PM's initiative is commendable. She went on to say that the theme of Yoga Day this year is 'Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,' or yoga for the well-being of everything in the shape of 'One World-One Family'. She notified the interested staff that daily guided Yoga sessions would be scheduled. The program was led by the Hon'ble Director, and she actively participated in yoga practice. She and other staff members practiced several seated and standing yoga positions under the invited yoga trainer. Dr Reena Gupta & Dr Ashima Bhatnagar coordinated the program.

BV (DU) BVIMR has organised a "Leadership and Personality Development Programme" for "Rishikesh" and "Mussoorie" from May 26th to 29th, 2023, to give students a chance to excel in a fast-changing corporate environment by learning functional, managerial, and leadership skills and be developed as leaders who are strategic thinkers, excellent communicators and growth drivers. A factory visit was made to "Security Escort Services" in Noida. Students were shown PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at a tractor manufacturing factory. During the visit, students interacted with managers, gathered essential and important information on factory functioning and management practices. Following that, students were drawn to "Rishikesh." for "River Rafting" early in the morning. Then, students drove to Mussoorie and toured Mall Road. It was an excellent study tour for students to gain knowledge, acquire leadership and social skills, and gain life changing new insights. The faculty co-ordinator was Dr. Reena Gupta. Thank you to our Hon'ble Director for her foresight, motivation and constant support.

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University)- BVIMR has organised a study tour to "Kullumanali" from May 23rd to May 27th 2023 to provide students with an opportunity to view the world from fresh perspectives outside the scope of a monotonous curriculum & gain first-hand experience, exposure to different cultures, and historical sites that help to broaden their understanding of the world and encourages them to think more critically about the world. An industrial Visit was made. Students are simultaneously drawn to "Hidimba Temple", "Van Vihar", a "Buddhist Monastery", place "Koksar," and "Mall Road" in the evening, "Naggar Castle". River Rafting was also made. It was a fantastic tour for students to get experience learning, social skills, and strong friendships. Ms. Neha Garg and Dr. Seema Chowdhury served as faculty co-ordinators. Thanks to our Hon'ble Director for her vision and solid support.

Another Team was in the top 70’s out of 400 teams participating internationally in Vienna competition. New Law College, BV(DU) organized a visit of student lawyers of 1st Year LL.B (3 Years Course) and 3rd Year LL.B (3 Years Course) to Yerwada Central Jail on 8th April 2023 under the guidance of Dean and Principal I/C Dr.Ujwala Bendale Mam and supporting faculties Dr Jyoti Dharm, Dr.Anisa Shaikh, Dr Salil Shrungarpure, Mr Aditya Thipse. The visit to Yerwada Central Jail enriched the jail Proses knowledge of students and also promoted their empirical learning.
"Abhinay", a Cultural Fest of the college was celebrated with full participation of the students. The fest was organized for three days. BV(DU) BVIMR, Dept of Law, organised its first National level moot court competition, titled, "Dr. Patangrao Kadam Memorial National Moot Court Competition" from 31 Mar-1 Apr 23. There was an overwhelming response from across the country. Participation was open to all law students of the country who are pursuing integrated 5-year or 3-year law courses from any recognized Law institution in India. Nearly 111 students participated from 37 prestigious Law universities and colleges and showcased their arguing skills. Multiple awards were given under different categories worth Rs. one lakh and above. The competition took place in the beautiful ambiance of the institute & well-equipped classrooms and auditorium hall. 55 renowned personalities from the law field were invited to judge the competition. The Winners of the First Dr. Patangrao Kadam Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2023 is TC-30 of the University Institute of Law, Punjab University Regional Centre. The runners-up in this esteemed competition is TC- 28 of college, National Law Institute University, Bhopal. The final round of the competition was judged by Former Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, Hon’ble Justice Sarvesh Kumar Gupta, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court Dr. Adish Aggarwal, Senior Advocate of the supreme court Dr. K.S. Chauhan and Co-Chairman of Delhi Bar Council, Adv. Ajay Sondhi, The panel members were impressed with the quality of the arguments put forward by the students. In the end, Valedictory Ceremony was organized & it commenced with the lighting of a lamp by the honorable guests. Former Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court, Hon’ble Justice Sarvesh Kumar Gupta, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court Dr. Adish Aggarwal, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court Dr. K.S. Chauhan, and Co-Chairman of Delhi Bar Council, Adv. Ajay Sondhi & Professor Dr. Yamini Agarwal, Director of the Institute, HoD of Law Dept., Dr. Reena Gupta, and Convenor Mr. Vivek Goyal were present. Speaking on this occasion, Justice Sarvesh Kumar Gupta shared with students that “good judgments took place due to good arguments of the good advocates.” Dr. Adish Aggarwal expressed that “there should be certainty of thoughts about success, and it isn’t an accident- it’s all about hard work.” Dr.K.S. Chauhan guided that “the basics of the law court procedure should be known to each lawyer”. Adv. Ajay Sondhi expressed that I could learn many things by judging the final round, hence, the law is about learning every time. On the basis of the feedback received, the competition proved to be a great learning experience for all the participants, as they got the opportunity to interact with legal experts and learn from their experiences. The event also provided a platform for students from different law schools to come together and exchange ideas and opinions. The participants were grateful for the opportunity provided by Bharati Vidyapeeth University to showcase their talent and learn from experienced judges. The winners were felicitated with certificates, trophies, and prize amounts. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the convenor, Mr. Vivek Goyal. There was an overwhelming response from all over the country. The inaugural ceremony of this "National Moot Court Competition" commenced with the lighting of a lamp by the honourable guests. Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble Justice Dr. Mukundkam Sharma and Former Judge of the Delhi High Court, Hon'ble justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw; Professor Dr.Yamini Agarwal, Director of the Institute; Dr. Reena Gupta, HoD of the Law Department; and convenor Mr.Vivek Goel were present. Professor Dr.Yamini Agarwal welcomed all the honourable guests by presenting them with a memento of the national emblem & shawl. She also greeted all the dignitaries present on the dais, participants from all over the country, the faculty, and the students. She mentioned the significance of the moot court competition, an opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of the court & judicial system. The convenor, Mr. Vivek Goel, has put forward a 'brief' of the competition. Hon'ble Justice Dr. Mukundkam Sharma has addressed the issue of the heavy pendency of cases in the courts and highlighted the importance of alternative dispute resolution methods, e.g., arbitration, mediation, conciliation, negotiation, and Lok Adalat. The Hon'ble Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw then guided students on how to deal with emerging trends. He advised that upcoming lawyers must acquire some skills like good writing and drafting skills, communication skills, interpersonal relations skills, computer skills, and law research skills.
BV (DU) Institute of Management and Research (BVIMR) recognized Martyrs Day / Shaheed Diwas (23rd March) on 27th March 2023 to honour the memory of our great freedom fighters by giving tribute to Aamar Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who bravely sacrificed their lives for the Independence and greater good of the nation we live today. On this day various performances and activities were held by the students and college societies such as remembrance video, singing, poetry, speeches etc. to get more familiar about the lives of our brave martyrs and movements lead by them. Hon. Director, Professor (Dr.) Yamini Agarwal encouraged all the students, faculty members by her inspiring, timeless and valuable message of commemorate the bravery and sacrifice of freedom fighters for the country. She emphasized on rendering possible contribution for our "nation- building" by every citizen.

District and Sessions Judge (Retd.) and presently is an Arbitrator at Delhi International Arbitration Centre, High Court of Delhi on March 22, 2023 at 3 pm. Smt. Bimla Kumari and Shri Mahavir Singhal addressed our students with their wise words and knowledge on Consumer Protection and Arbitration. The guests were introduced by Dr Ritika Malik Hon. A team of students representing Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be) University’s New Law College, Pune, was adjudged as the winner of the Quest Indicia 2nd National Moot Court Competition organized by Army Law College, Pune on the 25th & 26th of March 2023. The team comprised of Ms Mansi Shrivastava, Ms Chahak Sharma, and Ms Aayushi Tyagi of BA LLB 3rd year. In addition to the winner’s trophy, the team also won Senior Adv. Dushyant Dave Excellence Award and cash prize. The final round of the completion was judged by Hon’ble Dr Justice Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi, Orissa High Court, Adv. "Supreme Court Visit" was organised for law students on 21st March 2023. The purpose of the visit was to understand the working of court, nature of duties of judicial officers. The students learned dispensing of justice by judges, role of prosecutors and defence lawyers. The present Competition is an opportunity for law students to showcase their advocacy skills and gain practical experience in the legal profession. The competition provides an opportunity for the students to engage in a rigorous legal simulation that requires them to analyse complex legal issues, formulate arguments, and present them before a panel of experienced judges. It also offers them a chance to interact with legal professionals and gain valuable insights into the legal profession. The Competition shall be held from 31st March to 1st April 2023 at Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Research, Department of Law, New Delhi.

BV (DU) collaborated with UAS International Group of Companies for Global Immersion Program’23, Singapore. Students were given an opportunity to be a part of corporate visits like visit to NEWater wherein students observed how they process recycles of treated used water into ultra-clean. Students also visited Tiger Brewery wherein they were given an entire tour of the brewing process. They were also given an exposure to visit the cable car of Singapore. The trip also included local sightseeing as Santosa Island, Universal Studio, Night Safari and River Safari, Chinatown, Little India etc. Altogether, the corporate visits were enlightening and was a learning experience. We express our sincere thanks to our Hon. Yamini Agarwal, Director, BVIMR, for extending all kinds of support for the success of this visit.

BV(DU) New Law College Environment Cell organise an awareness program at Mahesh Vidyalay English Medium School (MVEM) Kothrud on the occasion of International Woman’s Day to create awareness amongst students regarding the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences and have also distributed disposable sanitary pads to girl students. Thanks to Dr. Ujwala Bendale maam, Dean and I/C, Principal for giving her never-ending contribution towards the Nobel cause and allowing us to organise this program wherein the lecture is delivered by Dr. Jyoti Dharm and the program was co-ordinated by Dr. Jayashree Khandare.
International Women’s Day 2023 was celebrated at BV(DU) New Law College in Pune, with distinguished guests delivering speeches on the rights of women in contemporary India. Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women in New Delhi, gave the keynote address, while Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean of BV Law Faculty and In Charge Principal of New Law College, delivered the welcome address, encouraging women to assert their rights. Dr. Vivek Saoji, Vice Chancellor of Bharati Vidyapeeth, emphasized the importance of self-realization. The event also included a book release ceremony, during which a book titled “The Succession Act,” co-authored by Dr. Ujwala Bendale and Dr. Jyoti Dharm, was published by Dr. Aman Mulla of Delhi Law House. The book was graciously released by Rekha Sharma, along with a legal aid booklet dedicated to today’s women, the nation builders, designed and articulated by Dr. Salil Shringarpure and legal aid volunteers of the college. Dr. Aman Mishra served as the convenor of the program.
"The life purpose of the true social entrepreneur is to change the world." The most awaited final round of Avsar was organised on 24th Feb 2023. It presented all students a golden opportunity to attend the speaker session, witnessing a great learning experience from the investors and industry experts who interacted and shared their own journey and challenges towards becoming Entrepreneur. The session involved sharing of real life experiences and great words of wisdom which was under the guidance of Director madam Dr. Yamini Agarwal alongwith these speakers - Mr. Vaibhav Kanwar, Founder of Clapbox , Mr. Shreyansh Nigam, Advocate Delhi High court, Mr. Daksh Sethi, Founder of Guby Rogers, Mr. Shashank Singh, Co founder of Poshn . BV (DU) New Law College, Pune, Society for Advanced Research and Analysis of Labour Laws [S.A.R.A.L.L.] organized a visit to Labour Court at Swargate, Pune on Tue., 28th Feb. 2023. The main objective of this visit is to learn the practical aspect as well as to understand the working of the court and the duties of judicial officers. Adv. Tapaswi, Practicing Advocate Labour Court guided the student to understand the role of the court in dispensing justice in any case. Students witness the cases in the courtroom. Student observes: (a) The way judges, prosecutors, and defense lawyers handle the case. (b) How the lawyer is opening the case and framing the charges. (c) Other miscellaneous work done by the public – labour prosecutor. The Dean and I/C, Principal Dr. Ujwala Bendale appreciated the efforts of the faculty members, Dr. Jayashree Khandare and Ms. Niha Khan, Faculty co-ordinator, S.A.R.A.L.L. for organizing the visit.

Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat, organized a Two Day National e-conference on ’Emerging Trends in IPR and Cyber Law’ on 24th & 25th February 2023, In-collaboration with Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Centre Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT) Ministry of Education, Government of India. Participants were from all over India. The dignitaries were Prof. Hon. BVIMR, New Delhi, organised Gender Sensitization Program "Inspiring Women : Leaders of Change" on 23rd Feb 2023. Lt. Col. Amarjeet Kaur Gulati (Retired) was the eminent guest speaker for the program. She inspired our young students with her rich knowledge and diverse real life experiences of her journey as a food scientist and an entrepreneur. She focused upon never to have die spirit. Lt. Col. Amarjeet Kaur Gulati is an entrepreneur owning a cloud kitchen called "Soldiers Spice" in Dwarka, Delhi.
New Law College, BV(DU) organized a visit of student lawyers of B.A. and BB.A LL.B-IInd Year (5 Years Course) and LL.B (3 Years Course) to Family and District and Session Court on 22nd and 23rd February 2023 under the guidance of Dean and Principal I/C Dr.Ujwala Bendale Mam and supporting faculties Dr.Anisa Shaikh, Ms.Rashmi Dubey, Dr. Naziya Pathan, Ms.Geetanjali Ghole and Adv. Nikhil Malani. The visit to court enriched the practical knowledge of students and also promoted their empirical learning

The Conference commenced with the inaugural session with the welcome of our esteemed guests for the day Guest of honour Mr. Sanjay Shorey, Regional Director. Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Eminent speakers Mr. Anil Jain, CEO, NIXI, Mr. Sham Gulati, Joint General Manager, HUDCO by Dr. Neetu Jain, Convener. The event started with Lighting of Lamp by our esteemed guests and director and then it was followed by welcome address by Dr. Yamini Agarwal, Director, BVIMR, ND. The distinguished guests discussed the importance of practical learning rather than focusing solely on academic knowledge while also imparting their invaluable expertise and life lessons to the students.
Artificial Intelligence is setting its mark on every individual's life and in every field. One among these field is the field of Law. With the advent of advanced devices comprising of A.I. features we can witness number of crimes happening around us with the use of new technical devices and thereby demanding a drastic change in IPR and Cyber Laws. So through this First A.I. based Quiz Competition-2023 organized on 11th Feb. 2023 by Law Artigence Cell of New Law College, BV(DU) we alongwith the students have tried to explore the impact of Artificial Intelligence on Law. This Quiz Competition-2023 was organised under the abled guidance and support of Dr.Ujwala Bendale, Dean and Principal I/C, New Law College, BV(DU), Pune and the competition met its successful execution because of efforts of Assistant Professor, Ms. Rashmi Dubey and student coordinators of the cell.
BV’s New Law College Pune : The National Service Scheme (NSS) team of BV (DU) New Law College Pune has organised its special winter camp 2022-23 from Jan. 29, 2023 to Feb. 04, 2023. In the camp there were 32 students comprised of 19 girls and 13 boys, who adopted the village Khanapur. Besides the traditional activity which are performed in any NSS camp, this time the NSS Volunteers of New Law College Pune made an attempt to digitally empower the village of Khanapur which was adopted by the college. This was an innovative step towards digitalization of the village, which was articulated by the Dean faculty of Law and I/C Principal of New Law College Pune Dr. Ujwala Bendale madam. The NSS Volunteers of New Law College Pune, generated ABHA (Ayushmaan Bharat Health Account) Cards for the villagers so that villagers can get health benefits provided by the government through various schemes. BVIMR, New Delhi organized Run for Patriotism on the occasion of 74th Republic day on 26/01/2023. The run for patriotism symbolizes our pride in being part of a great nation and pledge collective responsibility for its progress. The ceremony commenced with Hoisting Flag on campus ground by Dr. Yamini Agarwal, Director BVIMR, New Delhi and follwed by the Patriotic run from the main campus nearly 100 students from all the courses participated in the run.
In order to keep the students intact to Dharma’s concept along with the learnings incurred through law school, the New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed (to be) University, Pune under the abled guidance of Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean & I/C Principal organized a value-added session for the inner-self enhancement of the students of 1st year & 2nd year of law. The concept of Dharma was annexed with the concept of Family Law viz., Marriage, Divorce & Live In Relationship. For the said purpose Sanatan Dharma Das from Iskcon Temple, Pune was invited as a Guest speaker who enlightened our students with the slokas & few knowledge of Dharm Shastras in relation to Family Law. This pious session on morality was organized by Assistant Professor Rashmi Dubey & Ms.Prenksha Menia.
Sexual harassment at workplace is highly prevalent in India and there is a need to provide a positive environment to the women workers. In view of this, BV (DU) New Law College, Pune Society for Advanced Research and Analysis of Labour Laws [S.A.R.A.L.L.] took initiative and organized an awareness program on Sexual Harassment at workplace on 28th January, 2023 with the never ending support of Dr. Ujwala Bendale, Dean & I/C, Principal, BVDU New Law College, Pune. Women should not accept anything as it is because now it’s time to speak out against all the sexual harassment done to them at workplace, said by the resource persons Adv. Ashwini Kulkarni and Dr. Salil Shringarpure. The students also performed street-play on the …said theme to make people aware on the issue of sexual harassment. The event was co-ordinated by Dr Jayashree Khandare and Ms Niha Khan Faculty Coordinator, S.A.R.A.L.L.
BV (DU) Institute of Management and Research, New Delhi organized an alumni meet “MILAP 2022-23” on 21 Jan. 2023. The event was organized in order to invite Alumni's from past several years from different batches of MBA, BBA, BCA and Law Department. The event started with opening remarks of the anchors welcoming all the guests gathered for the event,then it was followed up by lamp lighting by Director and members of Alumni Association, United Brethren. Next in line was a beautiful classical performance by student of BVIMR, later it was followed up by the inauguration of Alumni newsletter “Punarsangam” and Band Performance by Ahsas Band.

Chakan on Tuesday, 24th Jan 23. The Dean and I/C Principal Dr. Ujwala Bendale appreciated the efforts of the faculty members, Dr. Jyoti Dharm, Dr. Jayashree Khandare and Ms. Niha khan for organizing such visits where the students got an opportunity to get acquainted with the unit where the actual production takes place.
BV (DU) New Law College, Pune in collaboration with Mumbai Grahak Panchayat organized a seminar on “Using Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for Consumer Empowerment” on the 23/01/23 at BVDU New Law College Abhijit Kadam Auditorium, Erandwane Campus. The resource person were Adv. Pranali Jayant Sawant Ex President Pune District Consumer Commission, discussed the history behind the passing of the Consumer Protection Act by discussing recent cases and unfair and restrictive trade practices. The next speaker Adv.Shirish Deshpande Chairman, Mumbai Grahak Panchayat elaborated Consumer Protection through Class Action under CPA, 2019 distinguishing group complaints and class action. The session concluded by Mr. Umesh Jawalikar President, Pune District Commission who addressed the students on various consumer issues and the role of the District Consumer Commission in the settlement of disputes. He encouraged and guided the law students about the functioning of the District Consumer Commission. Ms. Lalita Kulkarni Trustee of MGP and other members were present for the seminar. The seminar was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Ujwala Bendale I/C Principal, Dean and Dr. Jyoti Dharm Assistant Professor, presided over the seminar. The seminar was organized by Dr. Rajlakshmi Wagh, Assistant Professor & Faculty coordinator and Ms. Rachana Joshi, Assistant Professor.
BV (DU) BVIMR, New Delhi, organised a Women Health Awareness Seminar on 17th Jan. 2023. The lecture commenced with granting greetings to our esteemed guest for the event Dr. Prema Maheshwari. Dr. Maheshwari addressed students with the Women Health issues and guided students with the steps to resolve the problem. The lecture concluded with presenting vote of thanks and token of gratitude to our esteemed guest.
BV (DU) organised a Guest Lecture on the occasion of National Youth Day on 12th Jan. 2023. The lecture commenced with granting greetings to the Director mam and to our esteemed Guest for the event Mr. S.K Singh (currently working as Under Secretary in Ministry of Home Affairs). Dr. Yamini Agarwal gave her valuable inputs and welcomed the Guest. Our Guest, Mr. S.K Singh talked about "Swami Vivekananda on youth and education in changing scenario" and enlightened students with his knowledge. Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Research, New Delhi organized Social Awareness week from 6 January 2023 to 13 January 2023. A tribute was given to our founder Shri. Patangrao Kadam Ji on his Birth Anniversary on 6 January wherein all the students and faculty members of BVIMR gathered in the auditorium to remember “The legend” for his immense hard work and passion that he had for education which resulted in establishment of Bharati Vidyapeeth Umbrella of Institutions.
